I.D. plates stolen from trees

At least two of the new arboretum identification plates put up by the Hillsboro-West End Neighbors association are missing from Fannie Mae Dees Park, according to arboretum project coordinator Evelyn Ferris Raines.

Her strategy for finding the vandals may rely on homeless supporters of the arboretum who actually live in the park.
