West End Middle School is facing major changes for next year as part of the Metro School Improvement Plan. The school will change school zones and transfer from a two- to a four-year middle school.

As a part of the preparation to adjust to the plan, the West End Parents Task Force, an organization of West End Middle School, invites parents of current and future students to an open house Sunday from 4-6 p.m.

In addition, Principal Dr. Jim Murrell said the school would be moving towards an international baccalaureate program.
