Joelton woman identified as victim in fiery morning crash

Metro police have tentatively identified the woman killed early Friday in the fiery two-vehicle crash on Whites Creek Pike as 69-year-old Bonnie Krantz, of Joelton.

Around 1:45 a.m. Friday, the Oldsmobile Krantz was driving crossed the double yellow line and crashed head-on into a Toyota. According to police, the Oldsmobile burst into flames upon impact and was fully engulfed when officers arrived at the scene.

Krantz was severely burned in the fire, and police said positive identification would be made through dental records.

The driver of the Toyota received noncritical injuries and was transported to Skyline Medical Center.

The crash happened near the Robertson County line.
