A jury has found Stephen Miguel Hernandez guilty of his role in the September 7, 2010, beating death of Tommy Lee Perkins.
Hernandez, 25, was convicted of first-degree murder and facilitation of aggravated robbery, with the murder conviction carrying at least a 51-year mandatory sentence.
Perkins’ body was discovered in the early morning hours of September 7, 2010, near the Ravin Motel on Brick Church Pike. Metro police arrested Justin Brummett, now 22, shortly after Perkins’ death.
A trial date for Brummett has not yet been set. Hernandez will be sentenced on March 2 for the aggravated robbery charge.
