A Davidson County Criminal Court jury Thursday afternoon convicted Deshaun J. Lewis of raping and murdering 18-year-old Tennessee State University student Racquel Johnson in 2009.

The jury found Lewis, 23, guilty of felony murder, four counts of aggravated rape, filing a false police report and especially aggravated robbery. Lewis is scheduled to be sentenced on April 20.

In February 2009, Johnson’s body was found in an abandoned duplex on Herman Street days after her mother reporting her missing when the student didn’t return home from her job at Opry Mills Mall.
