Lipscomb Mustangs taking shot at redemption

The CPA tennis team will travel to David Lipscomb today for a match that Lipscomb coach Bob Bruce said should be pretty good.

Lipscomb is coming off its first loss of the season to Brentwood High School, a loss that Bruce described as a good realization for the Mustangs.

"I think pretty much after the match, both teams realized, in particular the boys, 'hey, we were right on the brink of potentially winning a couple of the key matches; we can move it up a notch or so and we'll just have to make the extra effort,' Bruce said.

"And the girls, I think even though their scores were wider margins, once again, they realized that, 'okay, I can improve where I am and I'm going to do that.'"
