Lipscomb opens leadership center

Lipscomb University has opened the doors to the new Center for Leadership Excellence, a continuing education and public service venture.

Dr. Grady Bogue, consulting scholar for the center and current professor at the University of Tennessee, said that the idea was first discussed in 1998, but the long-range plans were discussed in the spring. With plans calling for a $6 million endowment to support the center, Bogue said the school wanted to get things started this year
