Host families for exchange students needed

The AFS Intercultural Program is looking for host families for several exchange students. The group provides homes for a year, a semester or a summer for students from many foreign countries.

Host families are responsible for providing students with a bed, meals, guidance and support. Students come with their own spending money and medical insurance.

High grades honored at ACE Awards reception

Hundreds of Metropolitan Nashville high school seniors will be recognized for scholastic achievement at the 12th annual A Celebration of Excellence (ACE) Awards reception.

The ceremony is hosted by the Nashville Junior Chamber of Commerce, and will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at the Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel.

Parents and school administrators are also invited to attend the event, which celebrates students who have successfully completed the four-year Scholars Program. The program requires students maintain at least a
