Long-time assistant named Lipscomb coach

Mike McPherson, who has been an assistant for 11 years, has been named the new boys basketball coach at David Lipscomb.

McPherson, 49, is replacing Ritchie Pickens, who resigned recently to take over as the David Lipscomb Middle School principal.
