Man charged in apartment shooting

Johnathan Page is facing attempted criminal homicide charges stemming from a Monday afternoon shooting outside Dellway Villa Apartments.

Metro Police say Christopher Johnson, 21, of Interstate Drive was critically injured during an altercation outside his ex-girlfriend's apartment on Dellway Villa Road.

Johnson and Michael Stewart, 21, confronted Johnson’s ex-girlfriend confronted her current boyfriend, 18-year-old Matthew Edsall, police said. Edsall stabbed Stewart, who was not seriously injured, according to police.

Moments after the fight, Edsall called his 23-year-old brother Page who lives nearby. Page allegedly shot Johnson in the parking lot, police said.

En route to the hospital Johnson, being driven by another friend, struck a Nissan Altima on Dickerson Pike near Ben Allen Road at 12:30 p.m. No one was seriously injured in the car accident.

Johnson was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, because of the gunshot wound, where he is in stable condition.
