Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department charged a man claiming to be an El Salvadoran doctor with two counts of rape for allegedly sexually molesting a 37-year-old woman.

Police arrested Jose Elias Orellana, 65, at Las Americas Market on Nolensville Pike Monday. He remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

The victim told police she went to Orellana’s home for a back massage in January after he helped her brother with a shoulder injury. Orellana told the woman he could help her with menstrual problems, then sexually assaulted her, according to MNPD reports.

The victim reported the incident to a South Precinct officer in February, prompting an investigation.

Police are asking that anyone else who may have been sexually assaulted or inappropriately touched by Orellana under the guise of medical care call the department’s Sex Crimes unit at 862-7540.
