Man faces charges for allegedly stabbing drinking buddy

Metro Police arrested a man in his 20s who allegedly stabbed a drinking buddy and tried to hide from police in a neighbor’s home late Wednesday night.

The incident happened in an East Nashville apartment off North 20th Street around 9:30 p.m.
Police said two men got into an argument while they were drinking. One man allegedly stabbed the other man in the chest three or four times.

The victim is listed in critical but stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police said the suspect, who remained on the scene until police arrived, led them on a brief foot chase. He allegedly ran into a neighbor’s unlocked home and tried to hide.
