Mayor Karl Dean and Lightning 100 will team up to host a free concert series at the downtown public square beginning this fall, the mayor’s office announced Monday.
A press conference to announce the lineup will be held at the public square in front of the courthouse at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
The free concert series is part of an overall effort by Dean to bring more live music to Nashville. Dean formed the Music Business Council earlier this year and charged the advisory group with coming up with initiatives to bring more venues to the city.
Lester Turner, owner of Lightning 100, will be on hand for Tuesday’s announcement.
