Mayor, Titans announce field day to be held at LP Field

Mayor Karl Dean and the Tennessee Titans announced Wednesday that they will hold a Mayor’s Field Day in May to encourage residents to get participate in outdoor activities.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at LP Field and is being billed as a free day of activities including an obstacle course, scavenger hunt and field games for children 5 years old and older as well as adults. Participants of all fitness levels are welcome.

Current and former Titans players, cheerleaders and mascot T-RAC will host and participate in the activities. Games and activities are intended for teams of 10 participants each, with each team being captained by one adult.

Team captains do not need to have a completed team when they first register. Additional members may join at a later time. Individuals and smaller teams are welcome to register, but may be partnered with other groups to complete activities.
