Meigs Magnet Middle School in East Nashville will relocate to Highland Heights Middle School for a year while the Meigs Magnet facility is upgraded, officials at the school said.

Assistant Principal Joel Orleck said the temporary move, which will happen this summer, is for the rebuilding of the old center section of Meigs Magnet, which dates back to 1934. The two wings that were added to the center building in the 1950s do not need upgrading.
