The Metro Nashville government dumped nearly $1 million into a new computer system to process traffic citations before realizing it was so fraught with bugs and problems that the system needed to be dumped entirely.
Now, Metro is suing the contractor that promised to deliver the new system for breach of contract and is asking the U.S. District Court in Nashville to force the contractor, ACS Government Systems, Inc., to reimburse Metro to the tune of $917,820, as Nashville Post.com first reported on Friday.
