According to Metro Police, three alleged heroin dealers have been jailed in a recent initiative to stem the sale of the addictive substance.

Detectives focused on the sale of heroin in South Nashville for nine days this month and during that time, surveillance revealed that Julio Francisco, 19, and Esmeralda Godinez, 35, sold black tar heroin to a police officer and other individuals on numerous occasions.

Metro Police also watched the couple, who lived at 570 McMurray Drive, met with their alleged supplier, 22-year-old Carlos Rivas of Coral Court in Antioch, and received additional heroin product.

According to police, 94 grams of heroin, two vehicles and $2,100 in cash were seized as a result of the investigation.

Francisco and Godinez are each charged with five counts of selling heroin and one count each of possession of heroin for resale. They are each being held on $180,000 bond. Rivas is charged with delivering heroin and possession of heroin in a drug free school zone. His bond is set at $210,000.

Who in the world does grams? 94 grams divided by 28 equals 3.3 ounces. Americans read weight in ounces.

How many slaps on the hand do they get before they are set free?

Not much product and very little money for a nine-day operation. These are very low level dealers. Maybe these three will be eligible for citizenship once the Dems figure out how to plug them in.
