The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating two shootings last night — one near Rose Park and another in South Nashville.

The first shooting occurred around 8 p.m. near Archer Street and Southside Avenue. Two people, a man and a woman, were shot in the leg, according to MNPD spokeswoman Kris Mumford. The initial investigation revealed that there was possibly an exchange of gunfire. Mumford said the police believe the shooting could have been a robbery gone bad.

Police later responded to a shots fired call at 270 Tampa Drive after 10 p.m. in South Nashville where they found a car in a ditch. The victim was shot several times and there were several bullet holes in the driver’s side door of the vehicle.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

Investigation is still ongoing in both shootings.

What? None of the normal sarcastic commentary about guns from the liberals who read this paper? Oh? Is it okay for criminal's to carry guns? But not for law abbiding citizens? And, how come the Nashville City Paper cannot give a description of the victims ot the suspects? Why? Because you just report the news from other sources? Does not fit your race baiting agenda?
