Metro schools will be closed Tuesday, following Sunday's bitter-cold winter weather that forced the cancellation of classes Monday.
Metro Nashville Public Schools officials made the announcement of Tuesday's closing late Monday afternoon. They have not announced makeup days, with this week the last of classes before the holiday break.
Tuesday is expected to be cold, with a high of only 27.
Why should they have to make it up? Don't they have built-in days?
gd, they do have built in days. Someone blew that one.
I hope they will reopen Julia Green,MLK and Hume Fogg. These seem like excellent schools.
I don't think it makes that much difference about the others.
Closed because it's cold? Wow. And people really wonder why private schools and surronding counties are doing better than metro? Williamson and Wilson are both open for school tomorrow, although 2 hours late.
They could have opened two hours late. Personally, I think they're more fearful of a lawsuit than ice.
