Metro schools closed Monday due to record flooding

All Metro Nashville Public Schools will be closed Monday in the aftermath of perhaps the biggest flood in the city's history, officials announced Sunday evening.

The rain, which persisted almost non-stop from early Saturday until Sunday night, left more than 30 Nashville roads impassable, killed at least five people, left two missing, and generally wreaked havoc on everything from basic transportation to some neighborhoods' electricity.

"Cumberland expected to crest at 48 feet above normal Sunday night ." Please correct this statement. Do you realize that the Cumberland would be almost 75 feet if this were true?
