Metro Schools implementing policy on reporting child abuse following trial of substitute teacher

Following the recent sexual abuse trial of a former Metro Schools substitute teacher, school district official say they will implement a new policy regarding notification of state and local agencies regarding child abuse in schools.

Erica Bell was charged with fondling two underage children while they were in her care and questions then arose about the relationship between Metro School officials and the Metro Police Department over how well school supervisors report incidents of alleged sexual abuse.
