Metro Nashville Public Schools Thursday promoted two principals to administrative positions, and tapped a college dean to head another administrative role.

Laura Hall, current principal of Cane Ridge High school, will be the new associate superintendent of middle schools at Metro schools.

Brenda Steele, current principal of Alex Green Elementary School, will be the new associate superintendent of elementary schools at Metro schools.

Michelle Wilcox, current dean for business, computer and construction technology education at St. Johns River Community College in Florida, will be the new executive director for high schools at Metro Schools.

All three will begin their new positions this summer following the retirements of longtime MNPS employees who announced their retirements this spring. Steele will be the successor to Gregory Patterson, Hall will succeed Sandra Tinnon and Wilcox will succeed Kathryn Dillard.
