
The Metro Transit Authority will hold a series of pubic meetings in advance of the move to the new downtown bus station, the Music City Central, and the changes that will follow.
MTA will move to its new transit center in October and is considering a series of bus route changes in conjunction with the move.
Increasing the level of service for the No. 10 Charlotte route and providing a connection to Skyline Medical Center on No. 23 Dickerson Road are among the changes being considered. MTA is also considering more morning and afternoon service on the No. 24X Bellevue Express route along with increasing service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Changes will also be considered for the following routes — No. 4 Shelby, No. 6 Lebanon Road, No. 8 Eighth Avenue South, No. 14 Whites Creek, No. 19 Herman, No. 20 Scott, No. 25 Midtown, No. 28 Meridian, No. 29 Jefferson, No. 30 McFerrin, No. 34X Opry Mills Express, No. 41 Golden Valley, No. 42 St. Cecilia/Cumberland and No. 44 MTA Shuttle.
There may also be changes on late-night trips for select routes.
The public meeting schedule will be as follows: E.S. Rose Community Center, Aug. 25, 6 p.m.; East Branch Library, Aug. 26, 6 p.m.; Downtown Library, Aug. 27, noon and 5:30 p.m.; Looby Library, Aug. 28, 6 p.m.
