The Lexus SUV belonging to murder victim Mahesh Thakorbhai Zaveri has been recovered from a church parking lot in East Nashville, Metro Police said Monday.

Metro Police said a construction worker at Maplewood High School spotted the vehicle parked outside First Apostolic Church at 406 Maplewood Lane. He told police he thought it might be the Lexus mentioned in weekend news accounts, and called police. Police confirmed the SUV, which has been impounded and will be processed for evidence, belonged to Zaveri.

Zaveri, 50, of Goodlettsville, was discovered by a passerby Friday night lying on the side of Briley Park Boulevard near Brick Church Lane, police said. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding the murder and the person(s) responsible.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

What ever "MAD DOG" committed this act should be "Put Down". We need our police to get this murderer in custody now before they victimze again. When the arrest is made, I hope that Gen. Tom Thurmon goes for the Death Penalty.
