Music City braces for big sports weekend

After opening their Christmas presents Monday, sports fans in the Nashville area can look forward to several more treats around town this weekend.

From all parts of Kentucky and Clemson, S.C., fans of the Wildcats and Tigers will begin descending upon Music City later this week for the ninth annual Music City Bowl.

And those fans, along with many in the Nashville sports community, can look forward to opening some more gifts, starting today, in a heavy diet of sports activity.

If a fan likes football, basketball and hockey, there might not be a better weekend to enjoy. Because coming up is a virtual bonanza of sports events rarely crammed up in a short period of time in this city
