Nashville-based attorney James Widrig has announced he will run for Metro Council District 31.

Widrig, a Lenox Village resident and current president of the Lenox Village Homeowners Association, will be running to replace term-limited Councilmember Parker Toller.

Widrig founded the Law Office of Widrig Law, PLLC, in 2007, specializing in family law, criminal defense and bankruptcy. His website notes a Murfreesboro office is planned.

A campaign kick-off and fundraiser will be held on Friday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lenox Village Peacock Ballroom, located on the 6th Floor of the Lenox Village Town Center, 6900 Lenox Village Drive.

The event is open to the public.

Replacing Parker will be a tall order. Not only was he an effective councilman, he was also a very nice, friendly man that everyone liked-even if they disagreed with him. A rarity in politics to be sure.
My farm backs up to Lennox Village on the west and south side-my family ran a dairy there during the 50's-and like some of the other old farm families still around all we really want is too be left alone. Parker understood that and hopefully this gentleman-who I more than likely vote for-will understand it as well.

Know what "little man syndrome" is?? Ha! This guy abuses his power where he lives & will no doubt show the same LACK of concern or residents as he does for his neighbors... The only ones that will respond positively for him are fellow Board members or those who will personally benefit by having this power in their circle. He's already made promises that contradict each other to people on the same street!!

Neighbors talk you know. I think Bedne (ive only met him twice) or shoot write in someone would be a ether alternative.
