Nashville will learn on Wednesday whether the district has passed or failed this year’s round of No Child Left Behind regulations.
In a 10 a.m. announcement to media, the state Department of Education will provide information about the individual schools and districts that have passed and failed. If Metro Nashville Public Schools fails this year, the DOE will have the authority to remove individual school board members – as well as Director of Schools Jesse Register – from office.

Once the announcement is made will Mayor Dean come riding in on a white horse and proclaim his intentions to "save the schools."
...and in the back of his mind Dean will probably be thinking,"Am I glad my child attends a private school."
