Six Nashville Electric Service crews are headed to Chattanooga to help restore power to the more than 90,000 people left in the dark following Wednesday’s storms, NES officials announced Thursday.

Forty-nine employees will leave Thursday evening between 5:30-6 p.m. from the Donelson and West service centers for the drive to Chattanooga.

NES officials said they are not sure how many days will be required to complete repairs to the Chattanooga system.
