Nashville Electric Service officials said Friday morning that as of 10 a.m., about 1,580 customers were without power as a result of the severe thunderstorms that passed through Nashville earlier this week.

Power has been restored to the East Nashville and Inglewood areas, NES said. The utility’s engineers are currently checking the circuits in East Nashville to make sure crews have not missed making any repairs. NES crews are working to make repairs to those outages that will restore power to the largest number of customers.

NES has had 74 crews working to restore service to affected customers. Additional crews from Lexington, Ken., arrived this morning to assist in the restoration efforts. NES anticipates that all power should be restored by Saturday evening.
