Firgrounds to host 'Baby Shower'

The Metro Health Department and BlueCross and BlueShield of Tennessee are co-sponsoring the 8th Annual Incredible Baby Shower, Oct. 2 from noon-6 p.m. at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds.

More than 100 booths will be set up in the Creative Arts Building, the Annex Building and the Exhibitors Hall at the fairgrounds. The first 1,000 moms (with an infant under one year) and pregnant women will be given a free diaper bag with baby products, samples, and gifts.

The purpose of the event is to provide new and soon-to-be parents with information about healthy pregnancies, healthy children, support programs, resources, products, and parenting skills. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 340-5608.

Arts Project hosts architecture lecture

The Nashville Cultural Arts Project will present a lecture by principals in the firm of Lewis Tsurumaki Lewis oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the NCAP
