Easter Seals scramble May 25

Team registrations for the Easter Seals Tennessee 2001 Golf Classic are now being accepted.

The four-person scramble is open to the first 144 golfers who sign up and is scheduled for 11 a.m. May 25 at the Windtree Golf Course in Mt. Juliet.

Entry fees are $125 per person or $500 per team and include green fee, cart rental, range balls and lunch.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Easter Seals Camp Lindahl in Mt. Juliet. The camp is designed to give children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in a camp.

VU dean attends Fulbright seminar

Mindy Dalgarn, associate dean of student affairs at Vanderbilt University, will participate in the 2001 Fulbright Seminar for U.S. Administrators in International Education. The two-week seminar in Germany from May 5-19 will concentrate on higher education. Participants are to meet in Berlin and Mecklenberg-Vopmmern for several days for government meetings, campus visits and cultural events. Dalgarn plans to bring her knowledge back to Nashville to help Vanderbilt develop stronger international programs.
