Newton resigns from House of Representatives

Rep. Chris Newton (R-Cleveland) officially resigned today from the state House of Representatives.

Newton had originally said he would resign Nov. 1. After pleading guilty Tuesday to corruption charges, Newton was under pressure from fellow legislators to resign. Newton was one of five current or former legislators charged in the FBI
