Officer admits to having sex with suspect

Officer Timothy Reid is still working for Metro Police after allegations surfaced earlier this year that he had had sex with suspects he was called to investigate, according to NewsChannel5 reports.

Metro’s Office of Professional Accountability is investigating the nine-year police veteran who allegedly had sex in his patrol vehicle twice in 2006.

One incident occurred in September 2006 when the officer responded to a disorderly patron call at a Nashville bar.

Officer Reid said in reports that he gave the woman a ride home and then something happened between them.

Investigators said Reid told them what he did was consensual and said there was no reason to believe he should be taken off the streets, according to police reports.

Reid could face an official reprimand which he could appeal.

i think i had sex with this officer too...i'm not sure though...we were both drunk.

What a deal, Metro Police are sent to pick up drunks and then get to have sex with them. I am sure there are a lot of guys spending money tonight trying to meet a women, all they have to do is be a Police officer.

That happens when no one is held accountable for their actions. In the real world this person would have been fired so fast. This officer can't even realize that anything was wrong. I also was able to form my opinion on Metro Police after my daughter was assaulted multiple times and the complete and total lack of interest since she was special ed. Yes the attacks were on tape and the Police refused to reveal any information unless we hired a lawyer. So yes my opinion of Metro Police cannot get much lower.
