A man on Oregon’s sex offender registry is facing new charges in Williamson County because he failed to notify authorities when he moved to Franklin.
Hans Polak, 25, was arrested before 11 p.m. Sunday night when officers encountered him while investigating an unrelated call on Champions Circle. He told officers he moved from Eugene, Ore., in January, but had not registered as a sex offender, as required by state law.
Polak faces one count of violation of the sex offender registry. He is being held on $10,000 bond.
BEOWULF: Sounds like an illegal immigrant to me. Fine him and deport him to Oregon.
