Parolee charged in fatal April shooting

Metro Police North Precinct detectives made an arrest Tuesday for last April’s shooting death of 19-year-old Jazma Jackson.

Following 11 months of investigation, police charged Antwain Green, 27, with murdering Jackson on April 29 as she entered the front door of a house at 2545 Highland Terrace Drive.

Green, a convicted felon, is currently jailed on attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault charges for an August 2009 shooting on University Court that wounded two people, including a staff member of the public defender’s office.

Green’s has been convicted for robbery, unlawful weapon possession, evading arrest and cocaine possession. He was on parole at the time of both shootings.

BEOWULF: Three strikes? How about three bodies! Put him down like a rabid dog. Every breath he takes is one too many. Every day in jail is wasted $$$. Let the devil have him; the sooner, the better!

One more idiot off the streets...for a few months until they decide that our tax money is better spent bringing home the bacon that keeping criminals in jail.
