Metro Police are seeking Harold Doss, 23, as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Kentucky man inside a room at America's Best Value Inn at 2403 Brick Church Pike.
Jiro Kanazawa, 34, was discovered Oct. 5 in a room rented by Doss, police said.
Doss was convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery in 2006 and was sentenced to eight years, police said. He was paroled in March and registered with the Metro Nashville Police Department as an ex-convict on March 11. The state has filed a parole violation warrant against him.
Police describe Doss a black man who is 6 feet tall and who weighs 160 pounds. He was last known to have lived on Mooremans Arm Road.
