Metro Police detectives arrested Stephen Sheppard, 19, Wednesday in connection to recent robberies at two area Walgreens stores — 1809 Antioch Pike and 3500 Gallatin Pike.

Detectives received information that Sheppard was involved in a Walgreens robbery and paid a visit to his Nautilus Drive home Wednesday morning.

In each case, police said the suspect passed the clerk a robbery note demanding cash.

Police said Sheppard, when presented with the facts of both cases and interviewed, admitted to robbing both stores.

Sheppard faces two counts of robbery. He is being held on $160,000 bond.

He was convicted last month of misdemeanor theft for stealing from Mapco Express, his former employer.
