East Precinct police officers arrested Kelando Townsend shortly after they say he robbed a Batter’d & Fried employee at gunpoint late Monday night.

Police allegedly found Townsend, 22, hiding under a pickup truck in the 1400 block of Forrest Avenue. Minutes earlier police said he had made off with an iPod and a wallet from an employee who was taking out the trash around 10:30 p.m. Monday at the 1008 Woodland Street restaurant.

Townsend, of Porter Road, allegedly had a 9 mm handgun on him and admitted to the robbery during his arrest, according to police.

He is charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest, and is being held in lieu of $52,000 bond.

I'm finally on to you guys at the city paper! I used to believe you really did write at a 2nd grade English level but now I realize it's all an inside joke the way you write headlines. I guess the laugh is on me...

Option 1:)
Was the man just robbed or robbed and battered? He should get fried (not the employee) wait, who's on first?

Option 2:)
The should changed the name of the store to "Robbed, Battered, and Fried." +1

Option 3:)
Another article about Kentucky fans.

Option 4:)
Where'd he get the gun??

Well, did he taste good? Did they use the right amount of batter and was he deep fried or pan fried?
