Metro Police have charged two teens with criminal homicide in Sunday night’s fatal shooting of 23-year-old Clenton Giles II, who was found outside the Knoll Crest Apartments, 3301 Creekwood Drive.
During interviews with North Precinct detectives, Ralphael Turner, 19, and Steven Morrow, 16, admitted they intended to rob the victim of marijuana. During the robbery attempt, gunfire was exchanged between Giles and the suspects, police said.
Giles died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
Turner, of Stainback Avenue, is charged with criminal homicide, attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and unlawful weapon possession. He has previous unlawful drug and weapon possession convictions.
Morrow, of Main Street, is charged in Juvenile Court with criminal homicide.
Police say there may be an additional arrest in this case is likely.
