Police arrest three Brown Pride gang members, including local leader

Three members of the Brown Pride gang, including one local leader, are in jail on gun and drug charges after a Metro Police Gang Unit officer made a traffic stop Tuesday night, police said.

Deaderick Steven Ramirez, 23, Juan Jesus Chapa, 20, and Ivan Guadarrama-Barboza, 22, are charged with possession of marijuana for resale and violating the newly enacted Crooks with Guns law, according to police.

The three initially fled the scene and were later apprehended. A fourth gang member, Raul Rostro, 21, fled and is not yet in custody.

Police said the officer found, in plan view, on the back floorboard of the Chevrolet Lumina the group was driving, a plastic bag containing marijuana. Also discovered in the car was a nine-millimeter pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip, two sets of digital scales, one ski cap with eye holes cut out and three rolls of duct tape.

An immigration hold has been placed on Guadarrama-Barboza and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is assisting in the continuing investigation.

I wish the cops would leave these guys alone. Most of those gang members are really cute.

"Police said the officer found, in plan view..."If these things were "in plan view" then I'd say this did not reflect good planning on the part of the perps! As an aside, if there was a gang named White Pride I bet the FBI would be on the case immediately.

Here we have a self-proclaimed racist street gang operating right out in the open, dealing drugs and advertising their presence by vandalizing public property. What great police work led to their arrest? A simple traffic stop and the gang's own monumental stupidity in leaving drugs in plain view in the car.Take the handcuffs off the police and watch them break up gangs like no one's business, but in the meantime we have to wait for them to commit a traffic offense and make a blunder.

Sounds like these guys were just out minding their own business. Probably buying diapers, milk or grabbing a bite to eat. Maybe if time permitted they could rob a liquor store, duct tape the clerk and shoot a couple of customers. They need our rehab, love and support...that's all. Let them out so we can get them into counseling.

Some people are never satisfied, keep up the good work, officers!

Surely magnum must be joking or in a sarcastic mood. Nobody could be that stupid!

TITAN1, if these kids were Tennessee Titans players, you would be screaming for their day in court. We would hear grandstanding on your part, how these kids are on the fecne. If they would only cut their dreadlocks, then you would be convinced they are changed men.

I know one of these guys and I can tell you that they are as dumb as you hear. I am glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. They are just a bunch of deadbeat guys that have no money and have to go about selling drugs and stealing from people that earn their money the right way.
