Metro police picked up two more suspects overnight in Monday night’s robbery and fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jose Moya.

Ewing Green, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile turned themselves in at the North Precinct just before midnight Wednesday night.

The two men bailed out of a car during a police pursuit earlier Wednesday night, police said.

Police believe the juvenile is the one who shot Moya, 23, of Samoa Drive, in the 200 block of Lovell Street at 8:10 p.m. Monday.

Moya told officers that he was shot during a carjacking, and he died during surgery.

North Precinct detectives Wednesday night charged Tara Adcock, 37, and Lashonda Williamson, 35, of Becklea Drive, with criminal homicide for what police claim are their admitted roles in the robbery that led to the shooting.

Police believe Adcock was acquainted with Moya and lured him to Lovell Street to supposedly work on her car. Instead, those arrested tried to rob him and shot him in the process.

The juvenile is being held in Juvenile Court and faces a hearing Friday afternoon. Green, of Florence Avenue, is in jail in lieu of $1 million bond and charged with criminal homicide.

Both women are being held on $500,000 bond.

I lose just a little bit of my faith in humanity when I hear a story like this. A young man, 24 years old, has his life taken from him because a supposed friend/acquaintance wanted to rob him of an 11 year old Toyota and maybe a little cash.

How has a life become so worthless to some people?

We all know these scum will be back out on the streets to end another's life soon enough. May God give comfort to the Moya family in their loss.
