Metro Police officers say they’re close to finding the man who committed a fatal shooting at a Maplewood High graduation ceremony.

Police are looking for witnesses of the crime willing to look at photo lineups of individuals who might have been involved. Anyone who was in or around the lobby area where the shots were fired is asked to contact the North Precinct’s Investigations Unit. Detectives will also be happy to travel to witnesses who believe they could pick out the gunman from a lineup.

On Monday night, 21-year-old Andreus Taylor was shot in the face and killed at a Maplewood commencement ceremony, held at Tennessee State University’s Gentry Center. Taylor — who police say had gang ties — was shot at close range as he was exiting the building, according to Metro Nashville Police.

To call the Metro Police North Precinct, dial 862-7825 or 862-7901 to make arrangements to view the lineups.
