Mildred Hines, 80, was found alive but unresponsive behind a home at 1809 Beech Ave. She was taken to a local hospital.
Hines had been reported missing from the Lakeshore Wedgewood Retirement Center shortly before 7 a.m. A door alarm had sounded about 5:30 a.m., but authorities were not called until an hour and a half later.
There Office of Emergency Management assisted with the search around the facility which is located at 832 Wedgewood Ave. Authorities canvassed the area and using a helicopter, a police K-9 and going door-to-door.
Right after this article was uploaded the lady was found.
Thank goodness. She's okay, then?
My Mother is a resident at Wedgewood and I know that the staff was working hard to find Ms. Hines. Several of the staff members were out searching with the police and doing all in the power to find her.
