Metro police say the body found Monday afternoon by a woman looking for her lost dog is that of ex-convict and parolee Ricardo Gabriel Torres, 23, of Madison.

Torres’ body was found in a wooded area off Oak Grove Drive in Hermitage. An autopsy confirmed that he had been fatally shot, police said.

Police say Torres got into an argument at a party on Karen Drive in the early hours of Feb. 18. They are working to identify and interview individuals who were a part of or witnessed the argument.

Torres’ sister last heard from him on Feb. 17. She reported him as a missing person on Feb. 20.

Torres was sentenced to five years in September 2008 for attempted aggravated robbery. He registered with the Nashville Police Department as an ex-convict in June 2009. His record also reflects convictions for felony reckless endangerment and aggravated burglary.

Anyone with information on the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Ricardo Torres is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

He was sentenced to five years in September 2008 for attempted aggravated robbery and he's out. Good lord put something important on here like the picture of the dog so it can be found.
