Metro police have identified the Murfreesboro man killed in a crash Tuesday morning on Centennial Boulevard.
Kenneth Everett, 46, was traveling westbound on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle at 7 a.m. when he collided with the eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Timothy Owen, 44, of Eddyville, Ky.
Police say Owen was attempting to make a left turn into the Pilot Travel Center at 6418 Centennial Blvd. The truck driver said he did not see the oncoming motorcycle.
Everett was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died.
No charges have been filed, but police said the preliminary contributing factor appears to be Owen’s failure to yield.
There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol at the scene.
After this person has 35 arrests, why is he still on the streets? Should be put away forever. PERIODnotmycomment
????????????
What are you talking about?
This idiot should be put away for life ! His disregard for another human's life caused a death, and he is "supposed" to be a professional driver !
Kill a biker, go to jail and stay in jail !
I must have missed something, but it was a tragic accident.
All accidents are avoidable if drivers will just get their head out of their butts and pay attention to the most important thing in their life at the time - driving !
