Police investigate murder of man on Lafayette Street

Metro detectives are investigating the Tuesday afternoon shooting death of 22-year-old Randy Claybrooks. 

Witnesses told police another man shot Claybrooks during a fight around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Lafayette Street in the J.C. Napier public housing development.

Claybrooks died later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Hermitage Precinct detectives encourage anyone with information concerning the murder to call 862-7728 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

As these IDIOTS carry on...STUPID IS...AS STUPID DOES!!! These clowns CAN'T do ANYTHING except VIOLENCE!! That's all that flows through their THICK EMPTY SKULLS!!! I still don't understand, these crimes were commited by either streetgangs or wanna be streetgang IDIOTS!! They ALL ned to be rounded up and put in a GIANT STEEL WALLED ROOM WITH "NO WAY" OUT. Give them all oozies with bullets and let them kill each other!!!
