Police investigate possible bomb threat at downtown building

Metro Police Department’s Hazardous Devices Unit is investigating a possible bomb threat at a downtown building.

The Parkway Towers building at 404 James Robertson Parkway was evacuated after police received a suspicious package call at 3:35 Tuesday afternoon, according to police spokeswoman Kris Mumford.

Offices inside the building include those of the Davidson County Public Defender and the state Board of Probation and Parole.

As of approximately 6 p.m. the building had re-opened.
