Detectives in East Nashville are working to identify a suspected serial robber who they believe robbed at least four convenience stores.

Police believe the suspect robbed two stores Friday, including the Thorntons store at 317 Myatt Drive and the Tigermart at 3144 Dickerson Pike. The man, described as 5-foot, 7-inch tall black man in his early 20s and weighing about 160 pounds, may have robbed the same Tigermart on Sept. 16 and the Mapco at 4134 Gallatin Pike on Sept. 13.

In each robbery, he robbed the store clerk at gunpoint before escaping in a silver four-door car resembling a Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Intrepid. The car has some damage on the passenger side and is missing a passenger side hub cap.

Police urge anyone with information on the suspect or the robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
