Police need public’s help finding robbery suspect

Metro police are hoping the public can help identify the gunman who last week robbed the Mapco at 4337 Saundersville Road in Hermitage.

Police say the suspect entered the store at 7:20 p.m. and demanded cash at gunpoint. The clerk complied and the robber fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man with short brown hair in his late-20s or early 30s who is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he wore red shorts, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a camouflage baseball cap.
