Metro police are asking the public to help identify two men who robbed Wendy’s at 3021 Gallatin Pike on Sept. 19.

Both men entered the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. and robbed the cashier at gunpoint, police said. The suspects are described as black men in their early 20s who are both approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weigh approximately 180 pounds. One suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt and black mask. The second suspect wore a white scarf to cover his face, sunglasses, and bright orange high-top tennis shoes. Both suspects fled on foot.

Detectives said this robbery could be connected to an Aug. 29 hold-up at another Wendy’s on 3131 Dickerson Pike. In that incident, a gunman followed an employee inside the restaurant through a back door after the employee took out the garbage at 12:45 a.m. He took cash from the registers and fled on foot.

The gunman is described as a black man in his early 20s who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a slim build. He covered his face with a white scarf.

Anyone recognizing the suspects from the video, or anyone having information concerning these crimes, is urged to contact East Precinct detectives at 862-7525 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
